In an effort to optimise operational efficiency and improve safety and logistics planning in the ports of Palma and Valencia, the Palma and Valencia Port Authorities and the technology company Híades Business Patterns S.L. have signed a pioneering collaboration agreement to enable the bidirectional exchange of data between the two ports.
The agreement is intended to promote technological integration and modernisation in port management by using advanced solutions to facilitate real-time decision-making.
The Amura suite of intelligent solutions, developed by Híades, will enable the management and exchange of data related to port calls and events. This will improve coordination and operational efficiency between the control centres and pilots of both ports.
The agreement also includes the implementation of the Aurora communication platform, which will facilitate the exchange of data relating to port calls, events, and port developments. This will reinforce coordination and operational efficiency between the two ports, while ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations proposed by the IMO, IHO, and IALA organisations for the transmission of digital data in the sector.
This will ensure that operational decisions are based on accurate, timely information, optimising the efficiency of both ports and minimising the risks associated with a lack of coordination.
A forward-looking agreement
This agreement marks a milestone in the modernisation of port management in Spain, representing an example of how collaboration between key sector players and adoption of advanced technologies can transform port operations and contribute to safer, more efficient traffic organisation.
As the project progresses, the three entities involved will continue to explore new ways to innovate and optimise their operations. Their aim is to remain at the forefront of the global port landscape.
